Hold Yourself A Little Higher

I finally got around to shooting these beautiful metal-embellished flats I got from BlackFive. Their fit is nice and comfy, as they have a cushiony feel to them in the bridge of your foot. Enough though my pair needed a few days to properly break in, you can definitely feel that it is a sturdy shoe. Anyway, who wants a flimsy pair of flats, when they're just brand new. Right ?
Make sure to check out their website here. You can find lots of nice things and there's a heap of styles going on in the brand, which is always a plus for gals like me who are pretty eclectic when it comes to fashion. ;)

Marie Adélaïde

I did yet another photo shoot with Marie Adélaïde, a few days ago. The first time we met, we took some photos in the old streets of Bordeaux, and there was a beautiful dewy effect of the rain on the cobblestones.. Just to give you an idea, here's a photo from that particular shoot:

I really love the energy Marie has, and I couldn't have been happier when she contacted me to organize another session together !
We went for a sexy attitude, with a lace leotard paired with a pair of skinny jeans and killer heels. Our make-up artist, Anaïs Lorenzini, did an awesome job with the coral and grey eyes and flamboyant lips - I was secretly jealous of the contour she did on Marie, it was perfect !
I brought Emma, my best friend, along to see how I 'work' with people during a photo shoot. She was kind enough to help me with the photo-reflector, which brilliantly brought out the make-up highlights and low-lights on Marie's cheekbones.

I really hope you liked the photos ! :)

Lots of love,

Anaïa xoxo

Doll Eyes

On the occasion of having British and Aussie childhood friends coming over to France, we stopped off at St. Émilion, to tour the world-famous wine village.
Even though we're in summer, it has been a little chilly over the last few weeks, so I thought it wise to wear tights under this beautiful floral romper I bought not so long ago.
Hope you like the outfit !

Update: Pink Hair, No Care

Unfortunately, the pink hair thing won't be happening. Let me explain why: after having touched up my roots with some cheap bleach kit bought from the supermarket, my fresh canary hair didn't want to tone down, even after two go's with LaRichés Neon Blue and L'Oréal Professional's Silver Shampoo, and the rest of my hair went a lilac-ey/grey colour. To add to the whole 'look' my bottom layers DID NOT want to move up a tone (even after having been bleached a couple of times) and they also didn't take to the purple shampoo I washed them with. So, I'll paint my portrait for you:

- Yellow roots
- Lilac bangs
- Grey Streaks
- Golden blond under layers

In other words: disgusting.

Look, I even drew a little picture of myself:

I wanted to tone my hair, in the first place, to get hair white enough for pink hair dye (they say you need to have white/platinum hair so it can be used as a blank canvas for various 'unnatural' hair colours). My plan was to mix LaRiché Directions' "Tulip" with some conditioner, but now I'm moving to Plan B.

Anyway, I've decided I'll just head to the hairdressers (no pun intended) so I can let the professionals deal with my hair, and I think I'll treat myself to a dark ash blond colour. This time, I won't be needing to get my roots done, since my hair will hopefully blend in naturally to the colour I'll be getting.

'Til then,

Pink Hair, No Care !

Ok. So I've decided I'm going to dye my hair pink. I've finally gone and bought the products I need (a pot of "Tulip" Pink hair dye from LaRiché Directions) and I'm. Gonna. Do. This. Thang. I've been juggling around the idea for quite some time now, and after having done my research, and watched countless D.I.Y. YouTube videos of people colouring their own hair, I've set my mind on this task.

Since my hair is already light-ish blond and my roots are staring to grown in, with a few white streaks in it (that wasn't actually intentional, but oh well !), I will have to bleach my roots first, and tone everything tone, to then have a blank canvas to start making my hair pink !

I might even post a video tutorial on YouTube, if my filming turns out alright ! ;)

For now, let's just cross our fingers and pray for my hair to not turn into a hot mess..

Bye for now,

Anaïa xo
